Sadly the three week cricket carnival will come to an end with the Group Two of super Eight totally eliminated from the  final encounter. The last match of the T20 World cup 2012 will be between Sri Lanka vs West Indies, today at the R Premadesa Stadium in Colombo.

The host team has preserved all its strengths for the final. Evenly posed the two teams eye for the positive outcome. The irony of the tournament is that all the four teams of the Super Eight Group two, namely India, South Africa, Australia and Pakistan have reached back home safely. Only the Super Eight Group one have remained as titans of the series.

This ultimate clash shall commence at 7.00 pm IST. And the closing ceremony shall start after the match. Target Chris Gayle, the Caribbean all rounder, would be the primary mission of the home team. Gayle is in tremendous form and looks indomitable. If Sri Lanka is able to take control of  this great Caribbean wall then the cup is just round the corner. But not an easy task, of course.

Though the West Indies haven't won a major ICC tournament since 1996 which means the team doesn't have a great deal of experience in this type of high-profile match. But the recent forms of the players of the guest nation, speaks about their stake on the cup.
