Heavy bandobast in Hyd in wake of PM's visit

Tight security has been beefed up in Hyderabad in the wake of prime minister Manmohan Singh's visit on October 18.  PM would address the ongoing international summit on bio-diversity. Apart heavy bandobast, traffic regulations came into place in and around Hi-Tec city where the convention is going on.

Notably, top rank officials themselves plunged into the action and supervised whether traffic restrictions were in place. Also, three helicopters surveyed the Hitex conventional centre area.

Although prime minister Manmohan Singh would not come by road, and would shuttle in a helicopter between Begumpet Airport and Hitex, the police wants to ensure that the complete area comes under their control as an extra safety measure. Manmohan Singh, who would arrive at around 11 am in Hyderabad, would return Delhi the same day in a special flight from Begumpet.
