This time on his way to the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC), Hyderabad, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will get a weird welcome in air. Black balloons are to welcome the PM, a novel protest planned by the Telangana activists for the day. PM is on his way to Hyderabad to address the 11th Conference of Parties to the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD) that is underway in the city, on Tuesday. He shall be visiting and addressing the group of distinguished delegates. He would also unveil the COP 11 Commemorative Pylon. However the government has power packed the visit in such a way that the T activists will neither get a chance to obstruct nor approach the PM's convoy.
To counter this the T activists headed by the Telangana Joint Action Committee plan to release black balloons in the air from the Indira Park at 3 pm to garner the attention of the PM. They have also decided to wear black badges and carry black flags in all the T Districts of the state.
T JAC Supremo Prof Kodandaram also announced a massive multi party meet at the Indira Park on Tuesday. The dharna camp will have participants from TRS, Telangana Naga Bheri led by Nagam Janardhan Reddy and the JAC at the venue. However security has been beefed up in general, across the city and especially around the HICC. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
