On knowing the demise of Shivsena supremo Bala Saheb Thackeray, all VIPs thronged Matoshree to have a last glimpse of the legendary leader. Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, BJO senior leader and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj were among the noted politicians who arrived at Mumbai. Since the final journey of Thackeray has begun, these leaders are most likely to offer respects to Bala Saheb at Shivaji Park. It is no exaggeration to state that Bala Saheb Thackeray was considered next to famous king Shivaji Maharaj, who protected the interests of Marathas. It looked like Bal Thackeray was inspired by Shivaji Mahraj since more or less he had tread the same path and apparently became a role model to almost all Maharashtrians.
Andhra Wishesh got in touch with a few Maharashtrians in Hyderabad to record their reactions on the sad demise of Bal Thackeray. All of them had a common sign on their face. They said Maharashtra lost a legendary leader. Badal, a Maharashtrian, working with a software company in Hyderabad has said Bal Thackeray was a pioneer in controlling crime rate in Mumbai. Political situation was under control when Thackeray was active, he added. He even had apprehensions that Thackeray's demise could trigger tension in Mumbai.
It may be noted that Maharashtra Government has taken all steps to ensure that no disturbances take place in Mumbai in the wake of final journey of Thackeray. Over 40,000 para military forces reportedly covered up Mumbai city. Bal Thackeray's final rites would be conducted this evening.
Andhra Wishesh will keep updating on this event timely. Do come back to check the news.
