The 23-year old medical student who was brutally raped and fatally injured as a group of men outraged her modesty and threw her out of a moving bus has been taken to Singapore for further treatment after the doctors confirmed that the girl would need advanced organ transplant.

After a 5-hour air ambulance took her to Singapore, she was to be admitted at the Super Specialty Mount Elizibeth Hospital. Her parents and a few senior doctors had accompanied her in the ICU-facility enabled ambulance. The government took responsibility for her visas and passports on Wednesday.

After the brutal attack on her, the girl was traumatized mentally and physically in which she received severe blows to her abdomen and damaged her intestines. Doctors had to remove almost all of her intestines to help her survive. Senior doctors like Naresh Trehan of Medanta Medicity Gurgaon, assessed her medical condition and decided it was best for her to be treated abroad. Singapore was the closest destination that had multiple organ transplant facilities.

This hospital had visitors like Rajinikanth recently who went for a renal failure condition. Earlier in 2009, Amar Singh a politician received a kidney transplant.

Entire nation now prays to her health and hopes that she recovers from the ghastly attack.
