President Pranab Mukherjee is in Tirupati to inaugurate the World Telugu Meet. President, who arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday, has stayed at Rasthrapati Nilayam in the city. This morning he arrived in Tirupati. After inaugurating the World Telugu Meet, the President went to Tirumala Tirumala, the abode of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy, where he sought blessings of the deity.

It may be noted that World Telugu Meet was aimed at protecting Telugu language besides telling the world the sweetness and greatness of the same. At least 1000 delegates from across the globe are taking part in this meeting, which would be going on for next three days. Elaborated arrangements were made for this meeting long back and it's one of the most hyped programmes organized by the State.
