Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar, who has been spearheading the MP s demanding Telangana state, has told the media that Andhra people need not worry if Telangana state is carved out. Earlier even many leaders, who had been supporting statehood cause too, asked people from Andhra not to have any apprehensions as to what would happen to people in Hyderabad after state formation. When Andhra Wishesh asked observers over the same, this is what they had to say:
Any citizen of India can reside and settle in any part of the state. In fact, today we see many people doing there businesses happily in other states too. Same will be the case with Telangana. Even if state is created with Hyderabad as the capital, there's absolutely nothing to worry. People's life in Hyderabad would not be affected at any cost. They would lead the life as they were leading earlier because we are all citizens of India, firstly and lastly, as said by BR Ambedkar. In fact, demand for a separate state is just for better administration and equal justice to all regions in terms of water allocations etc. So, there's no scope for division among people at all.
