Brahmotsavams of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Yadagirigutta have started on Thursday. These annual Brahmotsavams would go on up to 11 days from now. It has to be mentioned here that Yadagirigutta being close to Hyderabad, a majority of people from the twin cities visit this place especially during weekends.
Therefore, the rush at Yadagirigutta is comparatively more during weekends. And for Brahmotsavams, irrespective of weekdays and weekends, there will be sea of devotees. It has been believed that Sri Maha Vishnu, when took the avatar of Narasimha Swamy to kill Hiranyakashipu, eliminates the demon king and passes through Yadagirigutta where he self manifests as Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. Worshipping the Lord here is said to cure a person who's suffering from para normal activities and who's possessed.
How to reach Yadagirigutta:
People residing in far off places wishing to seek blessings of Lord Narasimha Swamy can take a train or bus to Hyderabad. From Hyderabad there are number of buses to Yadagirigutta. Otherwise, one can even alight at a place called Bhuvanagiri/Bhongir from where one can hire a taxi to Yadagirigutta. From Hyderabad, this place is hardly 50 kilometres and from Bhongir it's less than 10 kilometres.
