Protesting against hike in the power rates, and excessive power cuts, the left parties decided to convene agitations in all districts of the state on April 1st and then take the protests a step highed by organizing a state bandh on April 9th while demanding for justice in the issues of the surcharges and the power cuts. They added that if the government doesn't concede even after the protests, they will take the heat a notch higher with more severe forms of agitation.
They also lashed out at the government that instead of proposing a solution to the problems talking to the protesters it instead tried to obstruct the agitations making a cheap shot. It is already known that several members of the Left parties were admitted to Gandhi hospital after being admitted where they continued their protests. They broke the fast yesterday at the hospital Raghavulu, K Narayana, Gade Diwakar, K Ramakrishna, Aziz Shasha among others were in the protests.
The leaders asked for the support from all parties and urged that they should start the protests from Thursday itself. They also agreed that if any party is agitating for the power cut issue, they would all support the party. Shoting slogans against CM, and ERC, the members burnt down effigies of the leaders in protest while vowing to ensure that the rates come down.
