Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that the government would give necessary clarifications to the Andhra Pradesh High Court over the increased electricity surcharges. He has spoke to the media persons this evening at Nellore. It is known that CM was in Nellore district to take part in farmers' meeting. After the meeting was completed, the media reportedly questioned the chief minister as to what government would do in the wake of high court asking clarification from the government over increasing electricity surcharges and the CM said government would give explanations on what basis surcharges were hiked.

Further, he has said that a meeting would be conducted tomorrow to discuss the electricity surcharges hike. Apart these things, he has also said that he was planning for setting up Green Field airport in Nellore. Kiran Kumar's statements on electricity surcharges seems to have disappointed all the common people who were awaiting the announcement that surcharges would not be hiked.
