Focus On Coastal Districts For Maoist Activities

The extreme activities of the Maoists in Chhattisgarh during last few months necessitated police to concentrate in East Godavari and Visakhapatnam being in the borders of Odisha and Chhattisgarh.  D.Thirumala Rao, IG of Police for North Coastal Region said in a press conference held at Machilipatnam yesterday that the police are focusing as a precautionary measure on the area to have a control on the situation although no extra forces are indented.

In the press conference attended by Vikram Singh Mann, DIG of Eluru range, J.Prabhakara Rao, S.P. of Krishna District and some other senior police officers also, Thirumala Rao who previously worked for the Cyberabad police station in Hyderabad dealing with cyber crimes also said that the surveillance will be done by installing CC cameras in the Coastal districts.

Thirumala Rao said that the extremists' activities prone areas will be identified and CC cameras will be used to monitor the situation.
