The petition to file FIR on the Prime Minister and former Telecom Minsiter Dayanidhi Maran in 2G scam was rejected by the CBI Court special judge.

The Court observed that the petitioner Vivek Garg an RTI activist do not have enough evidence to that effect to press a demand such as the one he did.

CBI Judge O.P.Saini considered it as a cheap trick to get publicity and for that reason he wasted the valuable time of the Court for which he is imposed a penalty of Rs.20000/- on the petitioner directing him to pay it within 7 days.

When Vivek filed the same petition earlier in another Court in Delhi, it was rejected on the grounds that it pertains to 2G which is in CBI Court.
