The Member of the Rajyasabha T.Subbirami Reddy issued a legal notice to Union Minsiter Purandheswari's husband and MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Rao for his allegations in the media against TSR.
Daggubati Venkateswara Rao commented on TSR that he made money by selling cement in black market and claimed from the Government showing a loss due to flood in the Nagarjuna Sagar contract work. He also said that TSR has no constructive work to do for the welfare of the public excepting inviting old cine stars who are idle now to give those awards that are of no use.
TSR replied at that time that Daggubati was a kid at the time of Nagarjuna Sagar Contract was taken up to know the facts at that time. He also advised Daggubati to look at his wife Purandheswari and learn from her how to behave in public. But Daggubati sticked to his statement and repeated the same.
The rift came with the issue of Visakhapatnam MP Seat. TSR who has an attachment with Vizag and says that he developed it, wants to contest from there which now is represented by Purandheswari. TSR stated here there that the Vizag seat is reserved for him to contest in the next elections. Annoyed with the statements of TSR without consulting them, Daggubati couple wanted to pick up a direct combat with TSR. Although the issue is about the Seat represented by Purandheswari, it was taken up by her husband to bring the behind the back talks to the front to condemn them.
TSR asked Daggubati in his legal notice that Daggubati should prove what he said in public in the absence of which Daggubati will have to face civil and criminal cases.
