Sharmila's Presence of Mind

YS Sharmila in her marathon called Maro Praja Prasthanam' reached East Godavari District, exhibited her presence of mind in a public speech.

As usual she talked ill of the Congress Party and Telugu Desam Party and the chiefs Kiran Kumar Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana and Chandra Babu Naidu.   It is only natural for the political leaders either to speak great about themselves or to criticize others to present themselves as better compared to the criticized.  Knowing the fact fully well, The East Godavari people listened to her speech patiently.

But the problem came when she mentioned the name of Chiranjeevi, union minister for Tourism.  The public looked angry and some among them shouted at her to stop the nonsense.  Some hooted and catcalled to disparage her.

Noticing the sudden hostility around her on taking Chiranjeevi’s name in a negative sense, Sharmila changed the topic without showing a sign of taking aback that shows her presence of mind.

'Maro Praja Prasthanam' means 'Going into Public Again' as it is treated as a continuation of her father YSR's program of covering the State on foot.  Its aim, as per the name of the program, has to be to inquire about the welfare of the people but doesn’t include criticizing others in fact.  But the leaders utilize their trip in the negative talks also to avoid another round to do it.
