Evacuation of the stranded pilgrims of Char Dham yatra will be concluded today as the Government reckons. The rescue teams are going to bring about 1400 pilgrims struck up at various places in Uttarakhand.
40 persons belonging to the State of AP were brought by TDP arranged chartered planes to Delhi. They were taking shelter in Badrinath. They will be transported to Hyderabad today. The Telugu people were given shelter at the residence of MP Nama Nageswara Rao at Delhi yesterday.
Still whereabouts of 115 AP pilgrims are not known out of whom 73 belong to Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.
The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy yesterday inquired from the high officials of Uttarakhand State about the rescue operations that are going on. He instructed the officials went there from AP to be in contact with them to monitor the situation. He announced that the special planes arranged by the Government will be doing service on Saturday also to bring the stranded people. Kiran Kumar Reddy asked the State officials posted there to stay there until all the pilgrims are evacuated.
