Four trucks outside Mumbai central station were seized yesterday, containing a large number of diamonds, gold and cash. It is not yet clear to whom the loot belongs to. But curiosity has been raised, amidst a lot a hue and cry over corruption and black money.

The Income Tax Department and the NIA together nabbed nearly 40 people near the railway station. These people were found to have no connection to the money or its destination. The courier personnel, referred to as angadiyas, regularly transport money and diamonds for business men belonging to the Marwari and Gujarati communities.

Authorities found 150 bags containing valuables worth 200 crores, just before the treasure was deposited in the Gujarat Mail scheduled for departure at 10pm from the Mumbai Central Railway Station on Monday.
