Sania Mirza, the girl with the strong hand and stronger opinions, has made a difference by supporting PETA. She has donated a signed racquet to the organization for auction.

In a gesture that brings out attention to the plight of animals that are forced to work, Sania has autographed her Wilson tennis racquet and donated it to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India. The organization, which speaks against cruelty to animals, is presently auctioning it on ebay.com.

Animal Rahat, a group working towards animal welfare, will gain from the auction's proceeds. With support from PETA India, Animal Rahat will provide relief to bullocks, horses and donkeys forced to work and also reduce some of the misery that these animals undergo everyday. Sania Mirza and her association will hopefully help animals that silently bear cruelty at the hands of humans.
