Ganesh Chaturdhi was peroformed on Monday with devotion Statewide. The famous Khairatabad Ganesh idol this time is Gonaga Chaturmukha i.e., with four faces and with cows and serpant in addition to his usual Mushika his vehicle. 59 feet Khairatabad Ganesh idol is attractive as usual and also as usual The Tapeswaram Laddu weighing 4000 kilo grams arrived to Khairatabad to be placed in the hands of the Ganesh idol. The Laddu Prasadam was made by 100 workers for 21 days.

BJP State President Kishan Reddy visited Khairatabad Ganesh and said that he prayed for the peace and prosperity for the people of the State. He also said that he wishes that the Telangana people’s wish should be fulfilled.
Police have taken extensive security measures this time and are going to monitor right from the day one till the idol’s finally immersing performance of idols in the city. At least two constables are deployed at every Ganesh Mandapam and the points of disturbances are takenspecial care with CC cameras.
The Ganesh Utsavams this year generally is in low profile all over the State more so in Seemandhra. 40 days long strike in Seemandhra made everyone in the region financially hit. Employees did not get salaries, businessmen lost their business, other professionals and private employees also faced financial constraints. It made its impact on the Ganesh Chaturdhi performed every year by spending good amount on idols, decoration and cultural activities. As the donations were not received as they used to be, many places where usually Vinayaka Chaturdhi are missing the event this time.
Apart from it, the general price rise prevailing in the country also affected the festivity which is participated by all irrespective of their ages, castes and creed. But wherever it is performed the devotees went there, showed their devotion and performed pooja to the extent they could.
