High Tension and low Wattage in Seemandhra

A tussle between police and market people started again at Gantasthambam in Vizianagaram when the police wanted the market to be cleared and the vendors refused to do so.  Women market vendors resisted the police forcing them to vacate the place.  

Ganta Srinivasa Rao's residence at MVP Colony in Vizag was attemped by the Samiakya activists to seize.  Seeing number of protesters going as a rally on bikes police became alert and immediately thrown a security chain around Ganta’s residence and stopped them from attacking it.

Telugu Ganga waters from Kandaleru reservoir, Nellore going to Chennai for the purpose of drinking water was diverted to the farming purpose.  Samaikyandhra protesters said that Chidambaram is going against the wishes of Seemandhra people and it is to protest against him the water going to Chennai is stopped.   

As electricity employees have taken up to strike protesting the decision of the Government to bifurcate State, acute shortage of electricity paralyzed the districts of Vizag, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram.  Visakha-Palasa passenger train as a result stopped at Dhilar and Visakha Express on Doosi Bridge.  The patients in King George hospital are facing problem due to non availability of the power.  The Electricity Officers say that they cannot assure of supplying power by evening also.

DE Muni Shankaraiah of Tirupati said that keeping in view of the sufferings of the patients in the maternity ward in SWIMS an attempt will be made for supplying power will be made along with the power supply to CC cameras at Alipiri.
