Samaikyandhra activists under the leadership of YSR Congress party at Visakhapatnam first went to seize the residence of the State Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao.  When police foiled their attempt, they immediately rushed to the camp office of Union Minister Purandheswari at MVP Colony, Vizag.

Anticipating the move the police were all prepared for it and successfully stopped them.  Enraged protesters tried to force their entry in to the office at which time police resorted to lathi charge that made a small commotion but ultimately stopped them from doing any harm to the office of Purandheswari.  

Disappoined protesters vented their anger on the flexi of Purandheswari at her camp office.  Police then talked to the leaders of YSRCP and brought the situation under control.
