Curfew Relaxed in Vizianagaram

As the situation was under control on Monday at Vizianagaram, the police relaxed curfew for one hour 7.00 am to 8.00 in some of the areas and 8.00 to 9.00 in other areas in the town.

The police officials say asked the citizens of Vizianagaram to  uttilise the time for getting the daily necessities, milk for children and medicines for the old.

Additional forces are deployed at Gandhi Road, Mayuri junction, Jonnabuddi, Lankapatnam, Kothapeta and BC Colony.  Rapid action forces are also deployed in the city to control the situation and establish law and order in the city.

Vegetable merchants are complaining at Vizianagaram that the vegetables are spoiled due to curfew.  As the people of the city are queuing at the shops, it seems that the relaxation of one hour is not enough and the same is said by the people and demanded more relaxation.

The Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana said that it is unfortunate that a single leader Botsa Satyanarayana is targeted.  He expects some political persons’ hands behind the incidents which will come out after investigation.  He also said that anti social elements entered and misused the situation.  He suggested that the bandh may be called off so that such anti social elements will not have any room to enter to get a bad name for the movement of Samaikyandhra.
