Bathukamma festival an important one for the women folk of Telangana was performed with pomp and fervor in the Telangana districts on saturday evening.  Tank Bund in Hyderabad was filled with different colors of floweriness with flowery Bathukammas and women clad in colorful saris.  

Women from Hyderabad reached Tankbund in large numbers to participate in the Bathukamma dances.

Telangana Jagruti President Kavitha participated in Bathukamma on Tankbund.  As it is customary the baskets filled with different flowers called Bathkammas were carried by the women on their heads.  After keeping all of them at once plance women sang and danced around the bathukammas.

Finally the bathukammas will be immersed in the waters.
