Central Human Resources Department expressed its willingness to establish National level educational institutions in Seemandhra region in the wake of the State bifurcation proposed by the Center.
The Department estimated the cost of 7000 crores for establishing IIT, IIM and three Universities in Seemandhra. The decision was intimated to the Union Home Ministry.
The proposal has gone to the GoM for Telangana for its consideration and final recommendations.
The Government in an attempt to address all the complaints of Seemandhra people the proposal to establish the educational institutions has been made. Among the demands of Seemandhra leaders lack of educational institutions in the Seemandhra and concentration in and around Hyderabad is one of the objections.
