The State Government desirous of making a data base of NRIs and extending help to the NRIs made an official portal for that purpose.
A portal www.apnri.ap.gov.in is started today by the Minister Sridhar Babu at the State Secretariat. It is an attempt to have the details of the people of the State in foreign countries. Now we don’t have the information of who is working in which country and their job details. But the data base will be built up with the help of this portal gradually. The Government can help only if the details are available.
Authentication of certificates can also be done by NRIs on line using this portal. The portal will be useful to the NRIs to get official help for any problem they face in the foreign countries.
Minister Sridhara Babu expressed his hope that the portal will be handy to the NRIs and also to the Government of Andhra Pradesh to handle the problems arises if any.
