A heart transplantation done on a 25 year old woman at Yashoda Hospital Hyderabad is not only successful in its surgical achievement but also as the treatment made the patient come to normal life fast.
Venkata Ramya belongs to Pithapuram in East Godavari District suffering from heart ailment was under medical treatment and was for a look out for a heart to transplant. A heart of brain dead young man available through the Jeevandan was used by the surgeons to replace the old one of Ramya. The surgery that was performed last week has taken 4 hours to replace heart in the patient.
Dr.Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale explaining all the above said that it is for the first time in India that a patient with a transplanted heart has gained health so fast.
