NCP statements shock Congress party

The Congress party is reckon to be facing the heat of not only public but also its alliance parties in the UPA government. Hours after National Conference of Jammu & Kashmir chief Farooq Abdullah announcing that Omar (J&K CM) will take decision on alliance with Congress in coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, Nationalist Congress Party key leader Praful Patel demanded that the 2002 Gujarat riots issue be laid to rest. Mr. Farooq also said, “it is in the citizens hands to vote in favor of Narendra Modi or not.”

Congress party has been time and again accusing Narendra Modi and BJP of Gujarat riots but they weren't successful in making Modi out of power in Gujarat. With BJP announcing Narendra Modi as Prime Ministerial candidate, Congress has intensified their war of words on Modi. However, they never expected the key allies NC and NCP would make such statements in regards to the riots issue.

Congress is getting hit and hit continuously since the recent general elections in four states. With the allies moving away from the Congress, its dream of scoring hat-trick at the center is like a nightmare now.
