The Delhi Police have assured for swift action to the protestors who are agitating against the Arunchal Pradesh student death. The Delhi Commissioner of Police and DCP of South Delhi held discussion with Student Unions and have promised to punish the culprits if found guilty. The protestors have called off the street protest as a result.
The members of North East Student Unions led the protest from the front in this agitations. Nido Taniam, the son of an Arunachal Pradesh Congress MLA, was beaten to death by a group of men who actually teased him for his hair style.
