TRS Wants To End Suspense On Merger

Telangana Rashtra Samiti who promised Congress party that it would merge with Congress if separate Telangana State is carved out from Andhra Pradesh has been thinking of all the options before it. One is to merge with Congress party as it promised. Second one to go for the alliance with Congress party in the Loksabha polls. Third one is to contest election without a truck with any party.

TRS is being criticized by the Congress leaders one way for dodging the decision and on the other way some of the senior Congress leaders expressed confidence that TRS will certainly merge with Congress party and to that effect KCR has already given indications.

There are speculations in the party too as the chances of the leaders who supported TRS in all weathers may get weakened if Congress leaders are to be accommodated and worse if the party merges with Congress party in which case the decision making will entirely be with the Congress high command.  A lot of feeling of insecurity in the party is sensed by the TRS Chief and other senior leaders of the party.

When so many Congress leaders are in the fight for power, TRS leaders may not get a berth excepting KCR and that is what is bothering TRS leaders.  As a Chief of the party, KCR has a responsibility to remove those doubts.  More over the issue cannot be dodged further.

The tremendous response TRS has received on Wednesday welcoming KCR is giving second thoughts in the minds of TRS cadre and suspicions in the minds of Congress leaders at Center.

KCR is holding polit bureau meeting on March 1 in which the issue will be totally discussed and a final decision be made on it.  As BJP is also claiming the credit of achieving Telangana State which cannot be ruled out outright, TRS has to calculate meticulously in taking the decision of taking sides of Congress party and way of it.

So anyhow the suspense on it will be ended on March 1 after the polit bureau meeting of TRS.
