The Telangana Rashtra Samithi [TRS] has decided not to merge with Congress party inspite of granting the separate state. TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao alias KCR has held politburo meeting with the party men in Telangana Bhavan and it lasted for five hours. After hectic discussions with the party men and cadre, KCR has ruled out the merge but did not say anything about alliance in the coming general elections.
Further TRS has formed a committee which looks after the alliance with various parties and if no party comes forward, TRS is likely to go alone in the elections. KCR has cited many reasons for this decision and expressed that Congress and the central government did not consider their views in the Telangana Bill.
Meanwhile, the Congress high command is yet to react on the TRS decision. This is a blow for Congress who are looking to bag maximum seats in the Telangana region if TRS is merged.
