The filing of nominations for 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats in the Telangana region ended yesterday. As per the Election Commission, over 3700 nominations were filed for 119 Assembly seats and for 17 Lok Sabha, 472 nominations were filed.
Ranga Reddy district registered more nominations for the Assembly with 638 nominations and Khammam stood last with 235 nominations. Coming to the Lok Sabha segments, Hyderabad received more nominations with 81 while Adilabad stood last with only 12 nominations.
Aspirants from all political parties who were ignored filed nominations as rebels. For the withdrawal of nominations, 12th April is the deadlines and all parties supremos have started pacifying the rebel candidates. Nizamabad district witness more number of rebel candidates nominations and many of them are from Congress party.
In Warangal district, TRS party rebels are troubling it while in Khammam TDP is facing the heat of rebels. We have to see how many of them will withdraw their nominations and help their parties.
Polling in Telangana will be held on April 30th for Assembly and Lok Sabha.
