AAP leader Somnath attacked by BJP workers

Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti was assaulted by BJP supporters in Varanasi after he left the venue of a TV show that featured him. The former Delhi Law Minister’s car was damaged and the driver was thrashed by the BJP workers.

AAP Varanasi coordinator also claimed that two AAP workers were hurt in this incident. After giving first aid to the victims, Somnath registered a complaint against the BJP workers at the Bhelupur police station.

Somnath was in Varanasi for election campaign on behalf of Arvind Kejriwal who will be contesting against BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

This is not the first that AAP and BJP clashed at Varanasi.
