The Chief Minister designated for Telangana state K Chandrasekhar Rao has called for a complete shut down tomorrow in protest to the ordinance related with the Polavaram dam. The union cabinet which will be meeting tomorrow morning is expected to approve the ordinance of merging seven mandals from Bhadrachalam division into the Andhra Pradesh region.
KCR also warned the central government that the consequence would be severe if the ordinance is approved without consulting. He demanded the government to take the opinion of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments before taking the decision.
Narasimhan gets additional charges
Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan has been granted additional charges as Governor for the Telangana state from June 2nd. The Rashtrapati Bhavan has released a statement regarding this and Governor will be taking charge of Telangana state too until a new governor is appointed by the central government.
