Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has offered only one central cabinet berth to Telugu Desam Party despite several requests from chief Chandrababu Naidu is likely to get the same treatment. Chandrababu who will be swearing in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 8th is heard to be doing the ground work on cabinet berths.
BJP has won only five assembly seats in Seemandhra and all of them are newcomers. So Chandrababu Naidu may prefer only one prominent leader from the five in his council of cabinet ministers. Andhra Pradesh BJP president and Vizag MP Prof K Haribabu met Chandrababu and conveyed his message that they are willing to form government. However, Haribabu added that the Central BJP leadership will take a final call on it.
TDP sources say that they are disappointed by the less presence of its MPs in central cabinet but are hopeful as Modi has plans to expand after Parliament sessions. Chandrababu is heard to be in no hurry in offering ministry post to BJP MLAs.
