In yet another shocking incident, a seven year old girl was raped and hanged to death in West Bengal. Angered  by this incident, villagers attacked three people who are suspected. One of the three people was reported dead and two are getting treated in hospital.

The girl had been to neighbourhood shop to buy some stuff but later went missing. People of the village went around in search of the girl and discovered her hanging to a tree. However, it is unconfirmed whether the girl is raped or not but the rumours got spread within no time. A holyman named Ratan Das was seen with the girl on the incident morning hours and villagers suspected him to be the culprit.

A mob attacked Ratan Das and two of his associates mercilessly and in this attack, one of the suspect was declared dead as the severely hurt were brought to hospital. Then the villagers reached to the police and filed a complaint against the three suspects. The local police have said, there is yet no evidence of rape before the girl was skilled and are waiting for the autopsy report. The police also claimed that there is an enmity between the girl's family and holyman Ratan Das.
