Seaplane project to boost AP tourism

The Andhra Pradesh government is looking to launch seaplane project which can boost the tourism of the coastal region. This project is expected to generate lot of hype with the small planes able to land and take off on water bodies and the tourists will have access to beautiful beaches, hills and other scenic spots across the coastal line. Seaplane tourism is already operational in Andaman & Nicobar islands where Goa is also foraying into this shortly.

AP government has identified 20 projects in connection with this including few mega tourism initiatives. An international convention centre is also being planned around the coastal line, Vizag and Kakinanda are ythe destinations for the mega tourism projects while a plump of ventures like hotels, amusement parks, eco-resorts and a science city are also sketched out. Vizag is likely to get major share in the tourism.

CM Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting on Tuesday steps to improve tourism in the state were discussed. The government opines that growth of tourism could be handful in development of state and also create employment to the unemployed. Conversion of temple places into tourist spots and promoting beach tourism are the key segments, AP government is focusing more on.

It will definitely boost the tourism if the seaplane services are brought operational and will also bring good revenue too.
