Since morning, the political circles are widely discussing about the Hyderabad Metro Rail. Today two leading Telugu newspapers carried exclusive stories of Metro Rail and claimed that L&T company wants to pull out of the project as delay in permissions from the Metro authority is bringing financial troubles to them. L&T wrote a letter to Hyderabad Metro board and cited many reasons to step down from the project right away. This news spread like a virus and media is running behind the politicians to take their views.
Stunned by this, the government and Hyderabad Metro Rail authority called upon L&T Metro Rail MD VB Gadgil. Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma met NVS Reddy and asked about the reports of L&T. Later Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar held discussions with L&T MD Gadgil. The meeting was last for almost two hours. Meanwhile the oppositions have slammed TRS government for defamation the brand image of Hyderabad. TDP leader Revanth Reddy criticised KCR for his proposal of under ground route at Assembly surroundings but did not come with an alternative plan nor held discussions with anyone to look after the issue.
IT minister KTR was questioned by the media regarding the same issue and he added that he had no idea about the reports that were published in newspapers. In fact, KTR said, this reports are just overshadow the success of TRS Medak by-election victory and defame the government in all sorts. He urged the media to be responsible in this issue and said the government will respond the issue as early as possible.
