Sachin Tendulkar who has announced that he will be adopting a village as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana' and help in its development, the legendary cricketer selected a village from Andhra Pradesh state. Sachin will be adopting Puttam Raju Kadriga [PR Kadriga] village which is located 20 kilometrs from Guduru of Nellore district which comes under Tirupathi Lok Sabha constituency.

All the developmental activities for the village have been designed and Sachin also released funds from MP LAD and he will also put in his own money. The former Indian cricketer will personally look after the development works and in November, he might pay a visit to the village. The officials were given information that Sachin will arriving to PR Kadriga on November 16th but Sachin is yet to finalise his schedule of visit.

When the villagers got to know about this news, they expressed their happiness and are eagerly waiting for Sachin's arrival. One of the villager said, till not MP had visited their village except during the election campaign and Sachin adopting out village is a great thing.

Post retirement Sachin is opening a new career with public life and that's what a Bharat Ratna holder actually does!!!  Kudos to the Master!
