In few more minutes, Telangana state will have its first budget and finance minister Etela Rajender will present it in the Assembly at 11 AM. According to the sources, the budget would be around Rs one lakh crore and all the allotments are made as per the TRS election promises of the welfare schemes. Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao gave many commitments for the people and post the elections too, he came up with new schemes like, drinking water to everyone in next four years, water grid, restoration of lakes.
However, these budget sessions are not going to be easy for the TRS government as the state is in power crisis and farmers are committing suicides. TDP, Congress and BJP have blamed the TRS government over his mishandling in the power crisis. The only advantage the ruling party has is, many MLAs of other parties joined supported the government which eventually reduced the strength of oppositions in the Assembly.
Despite this, the oppositions are getting ready for a massive attack on TRS government. Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy said, TRS government cannot escape in the Assembly. We will push the government in defence and question each and every public issue. TDP which is very vocal on TRS, said, we want to discuss every issue that is troubling the people of Telangana. If the government tries to attack us, then we won't sit idle. Government should play a responsible role.
