With mission '44 Plus' Bharatiya Janata Party is making desperate efforts to win the Jammu & Kashmir elections and strategically, the party has fielded nearly 40 percent of Muslim candidates for the upcoming elections. BJP  is contesting about 70 seats out of the 87 Assembly and out of them, 32 candidates belong to Muslim community.

BJP roped 25 Muslims in Kashmir Valley, four Kashmiri Pandits, three Buddhists and one Sikh leader which shows, it is maintaining the balance. The victory in three segments of Parliament has given enough confidence to BJP to go the elections alone and is looking to improve its strength. In a clever move, BJP has put the Article 370 out of the Poll frame and added that they would do it whenever people of state want it.

With the split in National Conference and Congress alliance, BJP is anticipating an unexpected advantage from this. The other party in state, PDP is also leaving no stone unturned to give a tough fight for every party in the state.

Jammu & Kashmir election verdict will be a crucial factor for BJP. If it manages to win people's faith, then it would lead to new political scenario in the state.
