Actress and former Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Prada might join the Bharatiya Janata Party and is also expected to contest against the Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. If reports are to be believed, BJP is considering Jaya Prada's name for the Chief Ministerial post and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi might also take the Saffron flag.
If Jaya Prada and Kiran Bedi join BJP, then the elections would get more tougher. AAP will have to sweat it hard to win the Assembly polls with magic figure however, it would be an advantage for BJP with Kiran Bedi who was once a strong supporter of Kejriwal in the anti-corruption campaign led by Gandhian Anna Hazare. In the past, BJP made attempts to rope Kiran Bedi and also offered the CM post but things did not work out then. Since the May General Elections, the former IPS officer has been pitching her voice in support of Narendra Modi led NDA government.
The National Capital has been in President's Rule since February 2013 after Kejriwal led AAP government quit as the Jan Lokpal Bill got deferred in the Assembly. The Election Commission has announced the fresh polls on February 7th and the results will be declared on February 10th.
