Pizza delivery in Indian trains

We often complain about the food that will be provided in the Indian trains. Hereafter there won't be any such issues as Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] has tied with Domino's Pizza and now passengers can get pizza delivery at their seats. A train without pantry car will be able to place an order for a pizza and passengers will be served pizza at his/her seat in the train en route.

The plan to introduce pizza in trains is to ensure passengers get quality food which also results in revenues for the railways. A passenger can either order online or dial the toll free number or through SMS. Pizza can be ordered online through www.ecatering.irctc.co.in and the toll free number is 1800-1034-139 and 0120-2383892-99 while the passengers opting for SMS have to send 'MEAL' to 139 giving details of his PNR and seat number. The mode of payment is cash on delivery.

This service is now available at 12 stations which include Agra, Alwar, Ambala, Jalandhar, Mathura, Muzzafarnagar, Pathankot, Vapi, Bharuch and Vadodara. Upon the response, the railways wants to increase the service.
