Sadhvi Pragya Singh’s bail plea to be considered: Supreme Court

Sadhvi Pragya Singh’s bail plea to be considered Supreme Court.The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked lower court to consider within a monthbail plea of accused, including Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, in 2008 Malegaon blasts case.

The apex court bench headed by Justice FMI Kalifulla has asked the trial court not to consider Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) provisions while deciding bail pleas of Sadhvi Pragya, Lt Col Prasad Shrikant Purohit?, and other accused in the case.

Sadhvi is an accused in the September 29, 2008, blast at Malegaon in Nashik district in which six persons died and several others injured, she is also an accused in the murder of  Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker Sunil Joshi.

Rakesh Dhawde, Ramesh Upadhyay, Shyamlal Sahu, Shivnarain Kalsangra, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, Jagdish Mhatre and Sameer Kulkarni were the other seven accused.
