3 UPA Ministers helped Lalit Modi, Congress asks resignation of Sushma and Raje

The Enforcement Directorate, which is investigating against Lalit Modi and his associates has found that a firm owned by Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje's son, Dushyant Singh, who is a BJP MP from Jhalawar-Baran, received Rs 11.63 crore from the former IPL commissioner. While on the trail of Rs 21 crore, which has Modi's firm Anand Heritage Hotels Pvt Ltd (AHHPL) had received from an unknown Mauritius based entity Wilton Investment Ltd, stumbled on a transaction in which a part of this money was paid to Dushyant's firm Niyant Heritage Hotels Pvt Ltd (NHHPL).
The payment was first made in April 2008 as an unsecured loan of Rs 3.80 crore and later converted to 815 shares in two installments. Totally an amount of Rs 11.63 crore was transferred to Dushyant's firm through loan and share purchase. "The decision to allot shares at a premium was a prudent business decision, based on proper valuation and also taking into account the future potential of the company," Dushyant Singh said.
The high price, Modi's Anand Heritage offered Dushyant to buy shares in his firm, which was floated during Raje's first tenure as Rajasthan CM, caught the attention of investigators. Modi bought these shares of Rs 10 at an exorbitant price of Rs 96,180 each.
Lalit Modi, claimed that he has a "family" relationship with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, whose husband and daughter had provided legal services "free of cost". He claimed that “I am very close to a lot of politicians, not only Mrs Swaraj.In that context, he said he was also helped by NCP leaders Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel and Congress leader Rajiv Shukla.”
"My wife was being taken to Portugal by whom? By Mrs Vasundhara Raje. Nobody knows that, I am putting that on the record now," Mr Modi said in an interview to India Today TV channel. "Raje and Sushma supported me when my wife was sick," he said.
