Vikarabad Sub Collector Varshini made a sudden visit to Kagna River to catch hold of people performing sand mafia on Sunday.

On the outskirts of Yalala mandal Bennuru and Tandoor, the sand mafia is been taking place for quite some days. Varshini, who came to know about this mafia, decided to visit the place. On Sunday night, Varshini made a sudden visit to the place after 1 am all alone, without any security.

Dropping her vehicle at Tandoor Tahsildar office, she took the bike and started to the actual place where the mafia is being taking place. After reaching there, she was shocked to see the illegal business is being carried down under the lights.

The labors and drivers who observed the lights of the vehicle, opined that the police have come and escaped from the place. Sub Collector who observed this, followed them on the same vehicle and caught hold of all those labors and drivers at Bennur village and police took the handover of them.

On the other side, all the bikes and tractors found in the place are also taken under the police handover. The labors are warned that their ration cards and Aadhar cards will be cancelled if they once again perform these kinds of illegal activities.
