The students of the Veena Vani Music College were identified by the Guinness authorities and entered their name in the Guinness book of world records for playing the 400 key boards in a single venue.
Celebrating the 41st anniversary of Veena Vani Music College, Banashankari, Bangalore, 400 keyboard players, had played the instrument in the venue, while ‘Lokayukta’ judge, ‘Santhosh Hegde’ had attended as the chief guest of the programme.
In 1974, the school was established, under the supervision of Vidwan Sampath Kumar Sharma. For the past 15 years, various programmes are being conducted under Girish Kumar supervision. Playing 400 keyboards at a time, is one of the programme conducted, while he is supervising it.
Already holds two Guinness records
According to the reports, 12000 students got educated through this college. In fact, entering into the Guinness record is not new to the college. The Record is already there on the college name, when 126 music artists had participated in an instrumental programme in 2011. Along with this, in 2014, 229 members had participated in the same programme and set up another record.
Now the fresh one is, playing 400 keyboards in a single venue. So this is the third time for the college to be identified by the Guinness authorities.
In the days, where the traditional music is carried away by the trendy music, the Guinness authorities identifying the live music and giving them a prestigious position is really appreciable.
