Telangana chief minister KCR did not attend the dinner hosted by Governor ESL Narasimhan in honour of visiting President Pranab Mukherjee. This has now become the talk among the political circles, while AP CM Naidu has attended the dinner.
It was known that a tough rivalry is currently running among the dual state Chief Ministers, especially after the cash-for-vote and phone-tapping scandals. So in this situation, the meeting of the two CMs at Governor’s dinner was expected to take place a higher significance, but unfortunately, KCR did not give that opportunity, as he skipped the invitation of the governor.
However, the official reason for KCR’s absence is that he was suffering from a fever. He had in fact cancelled all his appointments yesterday.
On a 10 day southern sojourn, President Pranab Mukherjee has visited the state on Tuesday and was invited to the dinner by the governor Narasimhan.
Naidu has already explained about the law and order dispute in the Hyderabad to the president in the past.
Basing this dinner, governor Narasimhan planned to make the two CMs resolve their differences. But unfortunately, as KCR was absent for the dinner, the governor might plan for a better occasion later. Hope the two CMs clear the differences between them and move on for the development of the states.
