Mosiea Moosa, a 32 year old woman, claimed to be seven months pregnant, was arrested for hiding the narcotic drugs in her stomach.
On Sunday morning, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths became suspicious, after looking at her passport and travel pattern, over the last one week. Through the evidence it is found out that, she travelled in the flight a week back with no pregnancy.
She was then taken to medical examination in Osmania hospital and upon inquiry, the woman accepted that, she swallowed the banned drugs, which were packed in small polymer packets.
Speaking about this, the NCB sleuths said, “When we intercepted Mosiea, she said she was walking with difficulty as she was seven-month pregnant. When we shifted her to a corporate hospital at the airport for preliminary examination, she admitted that she was carrying narcotics in her stomach."

The Osmania hospital staff reportedly extracted 16 pouches of narcotics substance. The NCB officials later confirmed that, no surgery was performed on the woman, but she was under medical supervision, for the progress of the case.
"We have not yet conducted checks on the narcotics recovered from the culprit. However, by looking at her travel pattern and the narcotics market, we suspect that the substance could be cocaine from Brazil," a NCB official said.
He added that the market value of the seized drug could only be ascertained after recovering the entire material from the smuggler and testing it for purity.
It is unfortunate to know that even women are involving in these type of crimes, that too using the human sentiments. If the same thing continues even the women who have true pregnancy would also have to face embarrassing checking at the airport.
