The Warangal Lok Sabha bypolls are nearing and as of now, there is no clarity on Gaddar, whether he would participate in the elections or not. But he finally came forward to the media and spoke about his contesting in the bypolls.
10 Left political parties leaders led by state secretaries of the CPM and the CPI - Tammineni Veerabhadram and Chada Venkata Reddy respectively, proposed Gaddar's name in Warangal Lok Sabha bypolls and later met him at his residence.
Reportedly, the left leaders tried to convince Gaddar to contest in the elections, but it seems Gaddar is not willing to participate in the elections. However, he has now decided to consult the people of Telangana state before taking any decision on elections.
Regarding this, speaking to the media, Gaddar said that, he is very much associated with the Telangana state even before the formation of it. “Since the Left leaders had come to me and requested me to be the candidate, I will once again go to the people and seek their opinion on this and only then announce my decision,” Gaddar said.
But the thing is, there is no such clarity of how he would seek public opinion and there is no time frame fixed to declare his decision. Reacting to this, CPI leader Venkata Reddy said, “In the past, Gaddar many times took several decisions seeking the public opinion. Fortunately most of his decisions taken, seeking public, are found fruitful. So we have confidence that he would take a positive decision, about contesting in bypolls.”
More than staying in power, serving the people is what a leader should do. Gaddar is one such few of the leaders, who believe in this statement and act accordingly.
