No Khairatabad in peak hours please- Traffic police

The people who are travelling from Khairatabad junction in the peak times, are advised to take another route by the Hyderabad traffic police.

Khairatabad junction is one such busy area in Hyderabad, where the traffic would be made still for 15-20 minutes or more in non-peak times itself. If this is the situation in non peak hours, then in peak hours, the time goes much beyond.

That too currently, as the metro work is going on at the junction, the traffic is moving slower than earlier. If a traffic signal falls, up to more than half a kilometre, the vehicles are standing still. So, more than regular, it is getting more delayed to reach the destinations.

Keeping in mind the situation, Hyderabad traffic police had now announced to divert the vehicles routes from the Khairatabad junction at least in the peak hours, as the metro rail work will continue for three more months.

Alternative routes to divert from Khairatabad junction

The traffic police suggested a few of the alternative routes to divert from Khairatabad junction. The private vehicles traveling from Shadan College, Nirankari junction towards Banjara Hills, Punjagutta and Ameerpet have been suggested to divert to Chintal Basthi, Road No.1, Banjara Hills, NFCL, Punjagutta X Roads.

Whereas, vehicles coming from Anand Nagar Colony to Lakdikapul can travel from Venkatramana Colony, Banjara Hills Care Hospital and Masab Tank.

On the other side, motorists from Necklace Road Rotary, Secretariat towards Banjara Hills, Anand Nagar Colony have been told to take the Raj Bhavan Road, Metro Residency, KCP, Taj Krishna and Banjara Hills routes.

Vehicles coming from Anand Nagar Colony to Punjagutta or Secretariat, Khairatabad have been suggested to travel from Venkatramana Colony, Ansar Manzil, KCP junction, Metro Residency and Khairatabad flyover.

All two wheelers and four wheelers coming from Necklace Road, Secretariat towards Punjagutta and Ameerpet could travel through Raj Bhavan Road, Metro Residency and Monappa Island, Punjagutta X roads.

Due to the metro works in the city, the daily life of a common man in the city is getting much tougher. However, after the completion of the metro project, it is anyway going to benefit the citizens. So to get rid of this short term traffic headache, divert your routes as suggested by the traffic police.
