TS govt. sells Tur dal through special counters

The Telangana state government will sell Tur dal, by opening the special counters, in the various parts of the city.

Whenever the prices of any commodities rise high, the Telangana government is always at the door step of the common man, to support.

In the past, when the onions price was over Rs. 80 per kg in the retail market, the Telangana government opened the special counters and sold at Rs. 20 per kg. Now it came forward to sell Tur dal, keeping in mind the high prices.

Grade 1 Tur Dal will be sold at Rs. 165/kg and grade 2 variety at Rs. 135 per kg, will be sold through the special counters, by the Telanagana government.

10 special counters are decided to open for selling Tur dal, out of which two will be set up in Rythu Bazaars at Erragadda and Falaknuma. Rest others would be at Chandrayangutta, Begum Bazaar, Saidabad, Mangalhaat, New Bhoiguda, Addagutta, Golnaka and one more at the Secretariat.

Yesterday, B. Bala Maya Devi, the Chief rationing officer, Hyderabad, held a meeting with Hyderabad Dal Mills and Merchants Association and asked them to provide adequate stocks to the special counters of Tur dal.

Previously, when onions are sold through the special counters, there are several complaints, stating that, a few of them sold the onions in black.

As the public response was very huge, the special counters could not afford to provide onions to everyone. Because of this, there are several criticisms on the government.

Keeping in mind those situations, government is now assuring that, no such situations would arise this time, as the stock was collected in huge, so that everyone would be benefited.
